The sunrise trek up Mount Agung is a physically demanding adventure, ideal for experienced hikers or those with a good fitness level. The trail is steep, rocky, and often slippery, but the reward at the summit is unmatched – breathtaking views over Bali, Mount Rinjani in Lombok, and a magical sunrise above the clouds. Mount Agung is considered the spiritual center of Bali. It is home to Besakih Temple, known as the “Mother Temple,” and is believed to be the dwelling place of the gods by Balinese Hindus.
